Battle Pest Control is a small, owner-operated business in North County San Diego. This policy explains what information we collect when you visit battlepestcontrol.com, call, text, book service or ask for a quote, and what we do with it. The short version: we use your information to do the job you asked for, and we don’t sell it.
What we collect
- Information you give us: your name, phone number, email, service address, details about your property and the pest problem, photos you send, and anything else you include in a call, text, email or form.
- Service records: what we treated, the materials used, visit dates and notes from each visit. California pest control rules require us to keep some of these records.
- Payment information: payments are handled by our payment processor. We do not store full card numbers on this website or on our own devices.
- Website data: like most websites, ours may collect basic technical information such as browser type, pages visited and general location (city level), through our hosting provider and, if enabled, Google Analytics.
How we use it
- To give you a price, schedule and perform service, and follow up
- To send appointment confirmations, reminders and service notices
- To bill you and keep required records
- To answer your questions and improve our service and website
- To ask for a review after a visit, which you are free to ignore
Text messages
If you give us your mobile number and agree to receive texts, we’ll text you about your service: quotes, scheduling, reminders and follow-ups. Message frequency varies. Message and data rates may apply. Reply STOP to opt out at any time, or HELP for help. Consent to texts is not a condition of buying service. We do not sell or share your mobile number or text consent with third parties for their marketing.
Who we share it with
We don’t sell your personal information, and we don’t share it for cross-context behavioral advertising. We share it only with service providers that help us run the business, such as our scheduling and billing software, payment processor, text and email services, website hosting and analytics, and only so they can provide those services to us. We may also disclose information when required by law or to protect our rights.
How long we keep it
We keep customer and service records for as long as you’re a customer and afterward for as long as needed for legal, tax and pest control record-keeping requirements. Quote requests that don’t turn into service are deleted when they’re no longer needed.
Your choices and California rights
You can ask us to tell you what personal information we have about you, correct it or delete it, subject to records we’re required to keep. California residents have these rights under California privacy law, and we extend them to everyone. We don’t sell personal information, so there is nothing to opt out of there. To make a request, email kenny@battlepestcontrol.com or call (858) 245-8789. We’ll verify it’s you before acting on a request, and we won’t treat you differently for making one.
Cookies
The website uses only the cookies needed for it to work and, if enabled, Google Analytics cookies to understand how people use the site. You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings.
Security
We use reputable providers and reasonable safeguards to protect your information. No system is perfectly secure, so please don’t send sensitive information like card numbers by text or email.
Children
This website is meant for adults arranging service. We don’t knowingly collect information from children under 13.
Changes
If we change this policy, we’ll update the date at the top of this page.
