Pest control services in North County San Diego
Here’s everything I handle, from the ant trail on your counter to the gopher wrecking your lawn. Every job starts the same way: I walk the property, figure out how they’re getting in, and fix that first. Spraying is the last step, not the only one.
You won’t get a one-size-fits-all plan from me. A Carlsbad condo and a five-acre Ramona property shouldn’t get the same treatment, so they don’t.
Ants
Most ant problems in North County are Argentine ants, which live in huge connected colonies and come indoors when it’s hot, dry or right after the first rain. Battle Pest Control treats the perimeter and places bait along their trails so the colony takes it home. Monthly service starts at $79 a month.
Spiders
North County homes commonly get black widows in garages and brown widows under patio furniture and eaves. Battle Pest Control removes webs, treats the eaves, garage and other hiding spots, and cuts down the insects spiders feed on. Monthly service starts at $79 a month.
Rodents
In San Diego County, the rodents that get into houses usually climb. They use palms, fruit trees and branches to get onto roofs and into attics. Battle Pest Control traps the rodents inside, finds the entry points and seals them with hardware cloth. Rodent trapping runs $395; sealing is quoted after an inspection.
Gophers
Fresh fan-shaped dirt mounds, plants vanishing from the roots up and chewed sprinkler lines mean gophers. Battle Pest Control traps them in their tunnels and keeps new ones from moving in off the hillsides with monthly Gopher Patrol, starting at $89 a month for yards up to a quarter acre.
Wasps and yellowjackets
Yellowjackets nest in eaves, irrigation boxes and the ground, and they’re worst in late summer. Battle Pest Control finds and treats the nest itself, not just the wasps you can see. A single nest is $169.
Cockroaches
Most cockroaches in North County come in from outside, from gardens, sewer lines and woodpiles. Battle Pest Control treats where they enter and hide and tells you what’s drawing them in. Lots of small roaches in the kitchen is a different species and gets a different treatment.
Fleas
Flea treatment only works when the house, the yard and the pets are treated together. Battle Pest Control treats inside and out, with a follow-up visit, for $289, and walks you through timing it with your vet’s pet treatment.
Mosquitoes
Daytime bites around your ankles usually mean invasive Aedes mosquitoes, which arrived in San Diego County in 2014. They breed in tiny amounts of standing water and rarely travel far, so the source is almost always your yard or a neighbor’s. Battle Pest Control finds and treats those breeding spots. A yard treatment is $129.
Commercial, realtors and property managers
Restaurants, offices, rentals and HOA common areas, plus fast pre-listing and escrow service for real estate agents.
Not sure what you’ve got?
Text me a photo. Bug, droppings, a weird hole in the yard. I’ll tell you what it is and whether you even need me. Sometimes you don’t. I’ll tell you that too, which is bad for business and great for karma.
